The goal was to embrace a common spring and summer color in to a more winteresque feel. The key is to never try to match the whites. I like to go for more of a spectrum, that way it doesn’t look like I've mismatched.
This time around, the lash queen and I visited the adorable Parisian inspired pastry shop, Mademoiselle Colette, for a quick morning coffee run. Located in the center of Menlo Park, the neighborhood featured the cutest townhouses and small shops – sorry Mom, I might move.
I really wanted it to be Fall. So bad, that I wore jeans and boots in 85 degree weather… to a pumpkin patch with no shade in sight. The ruffles and lacey polka dots, mixed with the white and nude coloring, provided the perfect contrast for my more rugged western look.
I had been begging Mario for a summer picnic but in between our busy school and work schedules, it was looking close to sitting on the beach freezing our asses off in December. So, it wasn’t cold, but I advise everyone to check when the hell high tide is because that’s pretty much where my planning went to shit.
Carnival rides, food and artisanal booths, and the annual parade. I’ve had the rather fortunate experience to go every Sunday at the crack of dawn, not really more like 8 am, to see the parade. Thanks dad.
